Chris & Heather Germond relocated to Dothan, AL from southwest Florida in June 2004 when Chris' position with Movie Gallery brought them and their young son to the Wiregrass. Desiring to spend more time together as a family, they decided to put their thirty plus years of combined retail experience to work and become entrepreneurs.
Remembering the Play It Again Sports store they used to shop at in Florida, they immediately saw a need in the Wiregrass for a value-conscious sporting goods & fitness store (especially after their son decided he wanted to start playing baseball, golf, soccer & football). They had already been customers but after learning about the Play It Again Sports story, they were hooked!
So on June 15, 2006, Chris and Heather opened the doors to the Wiregrass area and has since gained popularity for all ages.
